HOW TO GET TO THE PERHENTIAN ISLAND, MALAYSIA
To get to the Perhentian Island or Pulau Perhentian (in Malay), The only way to go there is by the sea especially a boat services from Kuala Besut. So FIRST you have to get to Kuala Besut Jetty. A town from where boats to the Perhentian Island leave. SECOND, take a boat from Kuala Besut jetty to one of the Perhentian Island (Perhentian Besar or Perhentian Kecil).
FROM KOTA BHARU AIRPORT @ TOWN
Get taxi direct to Kuala Besut jetty, estimate 1 hour journey
By bus, From Kota Bharu Town you can get direct bus (Transnasional) to Kuala Besut, the driver drop you at Kuala Besut bridge only. You can walk to the jetty (10 minutes)
From Kota Bharu airport, taxi available to Kuala Besut jetty at RM78/car/way. By mini van at RM35/adult/way and by Limo at RM180/car/way.
